Covid – 19

  • Are you visiting family members and want to make sure you do not pose a risk?
  • Are you returning to work or education and have been requested to have a test?
  • Have you been poorly and are not sure if you have the Virus?

During the Current Pandemic testing kits are a valuable way to check our health,

A simple blood test for coronavirus antibodies can tell you whether you’ve already been infected with COVID-19 So, if you think you have had the virus and would like to find out, this test may be the right one for you.

You can take a sample in the safety of your own home and post it to the lab in the envelope provided.

This test looks for immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Your body produces antibodies as part of its immune response to an infection.

These antibodies normally become measurable from 7 – 14 days post-infection and can indicate whether you were previously infected with the virus.

A positive result means that you have detectable levels of IgG antibodies in your blood. We do not yet know whether this means that you are immune to coronavirus or, if you are immune, how long that immunity will last.

Your results will come back in approximately 3 working days from receipt at the lab

Coming Soon

A laboratory Coronavirus PCR swab test to confirm whether you are currently infected with COVID- 19.

This test can be taken at home and uses a swab sample from the throat and nose.

It comes with a certificate which can be used officially for travel or work purposes

The sample is then analysed at an accredited laboratory and results are typically available within 48 hours of the sample being received by the laboratory.

The Coronavirus PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test is a swab test that indicates a current COVID- 19 infection. The result will show either COVID-19 RNA is ‘detected’ or ‘not detected’.

This throat and nose swab test can be performed by an individual on themselves, but it is preferred that a healthcare professional takes the swab as this test may not work if you do not follow the instructions precisely and the swab does not contact the surfaces of the nose and throat, in this case it may not be possible to return a test result and can not be retested. We cannot at present guarantee the turnaround time for these tests.
